Sand-laden soils dominate many of the corn fields Stamp Farms owns or manages across six counties in southwest Michigan. The coarse ground contains low organic matter and absorbs irrigation water like a parched sponge.

Some of the center pivots carry more than just moisture. Taking a cue from farmers in the Texas Panhandle, Stamp Farms has started to spoon-feed nitrogen, in a technique known as fertigation, to some of its corn-on-corn acres via pivots. Based on results from a first-year study conducted by Farm Journal Field Agronomist Missy Bauer in 2011, yields on Stamp Farms averaged 10 bu. to 15 bu. more per acre on fertigated ground when compared with the same nitrogen rate on nonfertigated ground. …

YUMA, CO – Agri-Inject, Inc., a leading provider of fluid injection technology for the golf, turf, agriculture and water treatment industries, announced that Tim Lowry has been named Golf Product Manager.

Lowry has 12 years experience working with golf course superintendents to develop specific fertilizer programs, as well as solving reclaimed water issues, dealing with compacted soil and troubleshooting turf grass challenges.

Since 2008, Lowry has been an independent contractor for Agri-Inject, as well as Greensmiths and LidoChem, where he introduced beneficial products and programs to golf courses in multiple states. He has worked in the golf industry since the mid-1990s, serving as a sales representative and sales manager primarily in the fertilizer and turf care arena. He has a degree in business and agriculture from Eastern Washington University.

“The Agri-Inject proportional injection system gives golf course superintendents precise control of the application of fertilizers, pesticides, turf care products and other concentrates, without investing a huge amount of money,” said Lowry. “This can help reduce input costs without sacrificing effectiveness and results.”

Lowry will be based in San Clemente, California, and can be reached at 949-257-3909 or tlowry@agri-inject.com.

“We have seen much growth in the golf sector and believe it is important to have a dedicated professional like Tim Lowry on staff to lead our efforts and respond to customer needs,” said Agri-Inject CEO Erik Tribelhorn.

Founded in 1983, Agri-Inject is a leading global fluid injection company providing fluid application solutions for agricultural, turf, industrial, municipal and residential use. The company’s products and knowledge are used for a wide variety of water treatment and chemical application needs, including fertilizer and micronutrient application, pesticide application, pH control, growth regulators, soil conditioners, waste water treatment, soil amendments, biological agents, lubrication and more.
YUMA, CO – Agri-Inject, Inc., a leading provider of fluid injection technology for the agriculture, turf and water treatment industries, announced that Erik Tribelhorn has returned to the company as chief executive officer. Agri-Inject also announced that Neal Saxton has been named Director of Global Sales for the company.

Tribelhorn was general manager for Agri-Inject from 1997 to 1999 and operations manager from 1994 to 1997, having worked for the Yuma-based company beginning in 1992.

In 1999 he left the organization for an opportunity at Yuma-based Quality Irrigation, one of Colorado’s largest and most progressive ag irrigation dealerships. He spent 12 years with Quality Irrigation, serving as general manager from 2006 through 2011.

“I am excited to lead an organization that provides high quality fluid injection solutions to many different industries,” Tribelhorn said. “We have outstanding employees who build systems that accurately apply products when and where needed. This allows Agri-Inject customers to save money, improve their effectiveness and boost overall profitability for their operation, whether that be in crop production, turf, golf, water treatment or any application that benefits from highly accurate fluid injection systems.”
